Adolescent Pregnancy

Adolescents face a wide range of issues everyday relating to their physiological, emotional, cultural, and psychological concerns. One of the most important and complicated issues is teenage pregnancy and childbearing. The teen birthrate has declined in recent years in the United States, but they remain an endemic public health problem. Young women of color and young women of low income are disproportionately affected by teenage childbearing. There is a great deal of information that focuses on identifying teens at risk and preventing behaviors that lead to unintended pregnancy.
