HIV/AIDS Prevention Resources. This annotated bibliography includes HIV-prevention resources designed to provide information on, and for, a variety of populations including children and adolescents; parents; gay men, lesbians, and bisexuals; people living with HIV; professionals; women; and schools. The bibliography also has a section on prevention curricula and a list of organizations dedicated to HIV prevention.

HIV/AIDS and People of Color. People of color in the United States are disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. This fact sheet provides statistics on African-Americans, Latinos, Asian/Pacific Islanders, and American Indians/Alaskan Natives as well as insight into the significance of the problem.

How to Talk to Your Children About AIDS.  This booklet offers parents help on talking about sexuality issues with their children as well as important facts about HIV/AIDS.

Winning the Battle: Developing Support of Sexuality and HIV/AIDS Education. This booklet offers help in developing community support for HIV-prevention and sexuality education. It emphasizes the importance of strong community and parental involvement, including strategies for building community support and answers to the 20 most-often-asked questions about sexuality education.


The Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS)

CAPS is part of the University of California at San Francisco’s (UCSF) AIDS Research Institute, a campus-wide enterprise that encompasses all of UCSF’s AIDS programs. CAPS is committed to maintaining a focus on HIV prevention, using multiple disciplines and both an applied and a community-based perspective. CAPS has put together annotated bibliographies that contain research articles related to a variety of HIV/AIDS topics.
