State Mandates for HIV/AIDS Prevention Education

Many states mandate HIV/AIDS education for their students. These mandates provide a legal basis for the implementation of comprehensive education programs. It is important to note that mandates do not necessarily result in a program in every school. To find out what is happening in your area, contact your local school district or state education agency.
