Welcome To SIECUS' ONLINE PRESS KIT

The Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) is a national nonprofit organization whose mission affirms that sexuality is a natural and healthy part of life and that all people have the right to the information, skills, and services they need to make responsible sexual choices.

SIECUS recently launched the Family Project to build and expand upon our work helping parents and caregivers talk to their children about sexuality-related issues. As part of this project, SIECUS publishes the Families Are Talking Newsletter. Visit http://www.familiesaretalking.org for more information.

SIECUS works to secure sound public policies on sexuality-related issues by regularly tracking federal and state-level developments related to reproductive rights, sexual health, domestic and international family planning, sexuality education, STDs, HIV/AIDS, sexual orientation, and censorship. Our most recent initiative is the No New Money campaign which aims to reduce federal spending on unproven abstinence-only-until-marriage programs. SIECUS also publishes Public Policy Updates, Legislative Reports, and Controversy Reports on a monthly basis.
