Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance-United States, 2003

This national study of young people in grades nine through 12 provides statistics on sexual intercourse, contraception use, alcohol and drug use associated with sexual intercourse, pregnancy, AIDS or HIV education, and other health related topics. CONFERENCES

Training Institute in Sexual Health Education (TISHE) is scheduled for August 9-13, 2004 at Blair Academy in Blairstown, NJ. This training is for middle and high school health teachers relatively new to or with limited knowledge of the topic of sexuality education, as well as school nurses, social workers, curriculum specialists, health educators, youth-serving professionals or administrators who supervise, support, or implement sexuality education in any format. The training will feature modules on life-long sexuality, learner diversity, values clarification, giving and receiving feedback, answering difficult questions, "how to teach about…," and issue-focused workshops.
