Information Collected

SIECUS collects only that information that web visitors voluntarily provide. As you browse our websites, there are a number of places where you may choose to provide us with information for a variety of reasons such as to ask a question, request a publication, subscribe to one of our many listservs, or make a donation. SIECUS uses the information you supply to provide you with the specific service you requested.

• If you provided information to ask a question or request a publication, your information will be used to respond to your inquiry or provide you with the resource you requested. From time to time, SIECUS staff may follow up with those who contact us in order to help us evaluate the usefulness of our publications and technical assistance. We will not share your information with anyone outside of SIECUS.
  
• If you provided information to join a listserv, you will be added to that listserv and will receive periodic emails from SIECUS. Our listservs are private; you will only receive messages from the specific listserv for which you signed up and your name and email address will not be shared with anyone else inside or outside of SIECUS. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you must unsubscribe to the listserv by following the instructions at the bottom of the message or sending an email to siecus@siecus.org. Please note in your email which listserv you are a member of and include the email address at which you receive these messages.
  
• If you provided information to make a donation to SIECUS, your name and address will be added to our donor mailing list and you will receive occasional mailings from our development department. From time to time, SIECUS exchanges donor lists with colleague organization that have similar missions. If you do not want your information shared with our colleagues, you may send an email to siecus@siecus.org requesting that your information be kept private and the development department will comply with your request.

SIECUS strives to keep your personal information as secure as possible. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure; you provide information at your own risk.

Credit Card Information

In part because of security concerns, SIECUS no longer accepts credit card information for publication orders over the Internet. To place a publication order using a credit card, please call 212/819-9770. SIECUS uses an outside service, Kintera, to process donations placed with a credit card. Kintera c omplies with industry standards, such as encrypting transmission of credit card information, to help protect your privacy.
